अपने एक इंटरव्यू के दौरान भूमि राजगोर ने बताया था कि उन्होंने 'स्त्री 2' में पहले चिट्टी के किरदार के लिए ऑडिशन दिया था, लेकिन निर्देशक ने उन्हें मनाकर 'स्त्री' का किरदार निभाने के लिए राजी कर लिया. भूमि ने आगे बताया कि जब वो ऑडिशन देने गईं, तब उनकी मुलाकात डायरेक्टर अमर कौशिक से हुई. डायरेक्टर ने उनसे जोर से चिल्लाने के लिए कहा और भूमि ने पूरी ताकत से चिल्लाया, जिससे उन्हें 'स्त्री' का किरदार मिल गया.
